Ds has already told me he wants to be a lion.

This is great because he has a lion mask from the zoo!!!

So, I need a tan sweatsuit or tan pants (I could use khakis I suppose) with a tan t-shirt (It's usually hot on Halloween here), and then I will go to the fabric store and get some fake fur for a mane, and then somehow make a tail.

I need help with:

1) finding the clothes (i.e. if you know of a store with a wide selection of colors, including tan, lemme know)

2) making the tail. I could use a bit of the fake fur at the end, and a safety pin to pin it on, but how do I make the actual tail part?

What are you doing for kiddos Halloween costumes?

Both sound awesome. Booger will either be Mitchie from Camp Rock or Hannah Montana. She hasn't decided. CM though, I don't know. I should probably figure it out and start sewing.

Trinity says she wants to be a cheerleader, but we're trying to convince her something else would be better.

I can't stand rah rahs, sorry.

We are watching the thrifts for a costume - they normally have them super cheap 1 day a week.

We haven't decided what we're going to do yet. We're thinking about a Vampire family. We're not going trick or treating but we are going to pass out candy at my mom's.

It's also our anniversary. LOL

Buy a white outfit and dye it tan and you could use a sock for the tail.

Chance says he is going to be a dragon knight. He has a dragon costume that he has worn for 2yrs already (I bought it big and on sale after Halloween) and the dollar store has shields and helmets. He already has a sword.

KJ is going to be Pooh in a bee outfit.

Lil pill wants to be Batman, but hates masks/stuff on his head. For the last 3 years he's had something on his head which he pulls off at the first opportunity. A dragon costume without a head just doesn't work...nor does a tiger or a lamb.

He won't let me face paint either since "it's too itchy". Not sure what I'm going to do!

You could must sew a long tube of fabric and stuff it with batting for the lion tail. If you're not sewing machine friendly a sock is a great idea. You could stuff it with newspaper or other socks and pin the tuft on the end.

What size is DS? Dani was a lion last year

you could have her costume. I got it from a HM Mom last year.
