Nora is only in the 3rd percentile for weight

Someone has to be in the lower percents to make the higher ones meaningful, so whatever is fine. It is each child's trend that counts, not the number, kwim?

They had colds a while back. Nora has never been in more than the 5th percentile for weight so she hasn't had a significant drop or anything, thanks for easing my mind

for your own piece of mind, you could check to see if the LLL or one of the lactation consultants at the hospital holds a weekly check in. the hospital that I had N at had a weekly question/lesson session with one of the consultants and part of it was weighing the babies every week. he was never "light," but he's so naturally long and thin that it was wonderful for me to be able to see he was growing and to know that if we had an issue - tuesday morning Mary would be there to check our latch or answer any question that had come up that week

sorry you're worrying. I can relate, because Nik was kinda like that. He was born in the 75th, then continuously dropped all the way to the 5th during the first year. He's leveled there. I was freaking out for a long time, but somehow I was able to ease my mind, because he WAS a happy baby and very healthy otherwise. The ped suggested formula around 4 months, but Nik completely refused. There was NO way anyone was going to be able to feed him with it He's still little now at 8 1/2, but really healthy. I just saw on his report card that since Sept he only missed 5 hours of school His great cousin was 'labeled' as growth retarded by his ped until he hit puberty full on, he's now taller than I am

Having had a huge child before him didn't really help my feelings of worry, let me tell you.
