So if you are not a Chrsitian do you celebrate St Pat's day?
or other holidays that have Chrsitian meanings behind them?
I know now day's St Pat's is more like a drinking day but do you just ignore the origins and celebrate the holiday???

We celebrate Christian holiday's with my family b/c they're Christian. In our home we will celebrate pagan holidays as usual. For example: We do a Yule log instead of a Christmas tree.
We celebrate more the family/gratitude and fun part of the days instead of the literal meaning that Christians associate with those types of days. The origin of Christian holidays comes from other sources than Christianity anyway, as Tarot said, so I think people choose to celebrate as they feel comfortable in general.

I discovered I like sunlight and warmth much more than peeling old doors anyway, so I climbed out the window and reveled in my discovery. I will never sit behind a closed door again, no matter how comfortable my chair becomes. Me
Mel, I'm glad you found your own open window and stepped through it.
I like St. Patty's Day because I am proud of being Irish, so that is my take on that day.

TB, check out the origins of many christian traditions. and i mean the original origins (a lot of feast days were based around pagan festivals to try and convert the heathens ). and i was reared catholic, too.
