~Design Inspiration~

There have been basic guidelines throughout history which recommend what stones to use for a given situation but it is always best to listen to your own intuition. The stone or color your attracted to at a given time has the vibrations your body needs for energy or balancing. As you begin to listen to your sixth sense ~ Your Higher Self ~ you will learn that particular gemstones elicits information on what your personal energy pattern needs.

Jewelry made from gemstones is especially helpful, because then the vibrations from the stone are close to your body. Thus allowing interaction between the stone and your body cells to take place more easily. The unique properties of each stone bring their own ~energies and ~vibrations indigenous to its place of origin.

While designing jewelry I work with the gemstones that have the highest vibrations at the moment for me. I am happy to take your suggestions and request of stones/colors. However it should be noted I will not copy another persons design. Each piece that is made is one of a kind and won't be duplicated unless requested to make two of the same at the time the order is placed.

My beaded jewelry is made using standard beading techniques. Again, no manufacturing is involved. Each piece is individually designed and hand-strung. The Soft Flex products used in the beaded jewelry contain a minimum of 21 woven strands of stainless steel coated with nylon. The components used in each design will be sterling silver and genuine stone unless otherwise noted.

I personally choose each gemstone and beads and are purchased from reputable mineral and gemstone dealers. Most of our stones are considered semi-precious, however I also stock some stones that are more obscure and are only available in their natural mineral form. PLEASE NOTE that semi-precious stones commonly contain natural fractures. I do not consider these to be flaws. On the contrary, it is my belief that these unique characteristics give each stone an individual personality and with that in mind I will name each piece I complete.

I get asked allot by customers on how I got started. I'm a mother to a child who has sensory issues and we spent enormous amount of time in doctors waiting rooms. This type of enviornment made him anxious and I wanted to find something that could calm my son. I've always worn crystals and love holding rocks and use to use them when I worked with the chronically disabled during meditation. After some research I found there were many rock properties that could calm the nervous system. The Sensory Necklace was created for my son using all the stones that could calm his nervous system yet give him positive energy. He would hang the sensory necklace around his neck (it was one long piece that didn't connect) and he would run his hands over the strand. The strand contained interesting carved animals, metals and glass that allowed for a variety of sensations. When I realized that these wonderful stones could help my son, I knew it was my calling to make jewelry with the intention that the individual wearing the design could benefit from the healing properties. I've taught myself and pride myself in saying that each design is a learning experience and a creative journey.
