Are you the same religion you were born into?

I was born into a Jewish family and am still practicing Judaism. I have varied my views and practices and the importance Judaism has had for me, but never have even considered NOT being Jewish. For me it's like if I decided not to be short. It's just who I am.

I was raised non-denominational Christian. I am that for the most part, but have gone back and forth a lot on what I believe. I am rather open-minded about a lot of things, and don't agree with a lot of the things that the Bible teaches.

Born into a strict Irish Roman-Catholic family....still follow Catholicism, but I stopped going to trad Sunday services many years ago because I loathe the politics of it all. During my last trip East, Mom gave me the family bible--when she revised her will, that was the only thing I requested. So, I've been reading the scriptures here and there.

I can hear Him best while working in my garden--so that has become my "church".

I was raised protestant, I think that's a burning offense in Ireland.

Organized religion is very much like the oil companies, full of bullshit.

I was born Pentecostal, and for the most part still am. The sneaky thing about them is that they encompass the "Holy Rollers" one of which I am not. We were mostly brought up to believe that the bible is a guide and that everyone needs something different from it - so we should visit, take what we need, and be thankful.
