I'd like this but it doesn't have the screen. Does it have to have the screen?

I have an ipod, and really depending on what you want, the screen's not necessary. The shuffle (the one you linked to) doesn't need a screen b/c it just cycles through all of the music at random. Where as one with a screen will let you pick what you want to listen to when you want to listen to it.

You can't skip songs on it to go to the next one, or can you? You just can't go in and choose to listen to track 12 or whatever at the beginning you'd have to skip through? Kinda like a cd player without the cd?

You can skip songs to go on to the next one, but yes, you would have to skip them. On the ones without a screen you can't pick track 12 from the beginning.

p.s My kids have the one you are showing. I just have more music and I can download movies which will be nice if we are somewhere boring the kids can watch a movie on my ipod.
