First figure out what you want to call your site. Here is a place to try out different domain names to see hwat is available

(this is a page on our website where you won't get the domain bought up by a big complany if you find one you like...register it under your name wherever you like, but make sure it is under your own name)
Then you decide where you want to host the domain to get it up on the internet as you make your site and when you are ready you find hosting for it. There are many ways to actually create the site, from more complicated programs like Dreamweaver to simpler ones that you can find if you Google website creation, and some of them are free. I'm sure you will get some recommend some, and I will ask my son (we all own the business together, and he is the web design genius) for the ones he would reconmend that are free.
