I think it's fascinating. It's really uncanny how many things come together for that date, and it makes me wonder if something big WILL happen that day.
BUT it doesn't freak me out and I don't think it will be the end of days, because it says in the Bible that no man knows the day or the hour. So when someone nails it down to a day like that I just move on.

Ahahahah! Actually I agree with Mel. Whether or not the world literally ends within the next coupla years, something's got to give. We can't keep going on the way we have been and think that the Earth, or the human spirit, can sustain the ruthless practices which we've to this point accepted as uniquely necessary and true. If we don't as a species consciously evolve to the next level, starting this second, then Nature will exact its due and we'll go right back to the beginning. Better luck next time. I must say it all scares the CRAP out of me. I do believe that some heavy things will be handed down on us and that we will have to start again.
No one can say for sure what will happen but since our own scientists say what the Mayas predicted all those years ago, the alignment of the planets ect. you cannot say nothing will happen. Again not to say it is the END of the world.
