What kinds of things do you make ahead?

I am going to try to start making things up to have.. some ready to eat things that will help me get away from prepackaged things that I hate buying. Like my daughter likes to havea waffle for bfast sometimes so I want to make my own and freeze them.. ready to toast. um i found a recipe somewhere for making your own bakiung mix.. kind of like bisquick. So what kinds of things do you do?
Does anyone have a recipe for chicken nuggets..LOL i know chicken tenders and stuff and those are good. If you make them right away and eat. Is there a way to make something ahead so I don't have to cook them like for a quick lunch or something.
Thanks!

I do this allot. When I make a big meal I will intentially double the amount so I can freeze some. I have placed cooked noodles in the freezer to reheat (spaghetti works well and I freeze it in one portion amounts in freezer ziplock bags). I also do this with meatballs. I make them like mini-meatloafs and cook them. Meatballs are great for little ones. Make sure they are completely cook and freeze. (I found placing them in a flat plastic container to freeze works best then I move them to a larger ziplock once each individual meatball is frozen). You can then just take out a few at a time.

I also do the waffles. I place them on a cookie sheet to freeze then transfer to a large container. It's great for a warm meal rather than cereal. Plus you can add carrots to the batter or apples (all shredded).

These are just to name a few.

You can freeze pancakes, too. But I never get a satisfying result with freezing ahead for some reason, I guess I just don't know what I"m doing. If cutting back on cooking time at the end of the day is the problem, I usually use the crock pot instead.

I did a lot of pureed veggies when the kids were little, but now, I feel like I'm always rushing at 3pm, thinking.... hmm, what in the world are we going to eat tonight??

Love Lives On
Those
we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
far as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in the heart.
