An accquataince of mine has a baby a tad bit older than C. She claims that a mercury dime on a string around her daughters neck pulls the teething pain out of her body. I don't know what a mercury dime is but it doesn't sound healthy to have around a baby... can someone shed some light on this for me.
it's no telling, there are all kinds of *wives tales* for things. I Wore a lead sinker on a leather string around my neck for a whole summer one year around the age 7 cause I kept getting nosebleeds and that was to stop it... which it either did or they stopped on their own! lol

Reason: Probably should capitalize a Roman God's name :)
A Mercury dime doesn't contain mercury, it has a picture of Mercury on it ;0)
I can't imagine it would do anything of any use, and would pose a choking hazard. I'd stick to homeopathic remedies
I would agree. I can't iagine giving a baby something that size around his neck...strangulation and choking hazard. I am all for alternative medicine, but not that one...lol.

I discovered I like sunlight and warmth much more than peeling old doors anyway, so I climbed out the window and reveled in my discovery. I will never sit behind a closed door again, no matter how comfortable my chair becomes. Me
Mel, I'm glad you found your own open window and stepped through it.
