![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well crap, I'll try again. For the plane, having travelled with kids on a plane for 24 hours I suggest you bring items that you don't mind loosing. I had each of the kid bring a backpack and we had their own drink mixes (airline provided the water) and a ton of small things that we didn't mind loosing. I would also buy things cheap that he had never played with before (this is key) and if possible and have an ipod load up a small movie. I also always packed a lunch and snacks. Most people got on the plane first with kids, my advice is be the last. I waited until the very end and then got on and it was tails up in ten minutes as it takes at least a half hour to load. Have gum for his ears and don't give it to him until your seated as it's a big surprise and perk if normally not allowed gum. Also have him with safety things (I had my kids have my emergency numbers right on them and a whistle and he was told only to use it if they got lost. I instructed them to sit and not move and blow the hell out of the whistle and I would find them. Kids like to get lost in bathrooms.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't think you can bring food on the plane anymore It's Jet Blue, so they have direct TV and I'm hoping that will buy me a little time it's more the flight back, which always seems like it takes forever due to the tailwinds. I'd like to have a few things he's never seen before, and was thinking of putting them in his stocking.

They're probably loaded with ideas for other photo gifts, too. I kind of like the idea of blowing pictures up and laminating them for placemats. I saw a friend give someone those for his birthday once, just crazy shots she'd taken of herself and him making faces and stupid stuff like that and they were really funny! |
