What do you think?

Do you think that having a cleaning person clean your house changes the energy of the space compared to you cleaning it? Short term I don't think it would make a difference but long term I wonder if it would?

I guess it would depend on who it was and their energy maybe? And also if you cleansed and made it your own anyway?

I think anyone coming into your home can change the energy in it. Have them clean it and then smudge it once they leave. You get best of both worlds.

I expect it would, just as having anyone over would change the energy. The only time I ever had a cleaning person over was dreadful. It was a Mother's Day gift, my first year as a new mother. It was a mother-son team: the mother looked like she was about 100 years old, tiny and wrinkled as a walnut and about as energetic, while her son was a towering, massive hulk, with short little arms that hardly reached past his middle. I felt horribly guilty seeing this poor old lady get on her knees to scrub my bathroom floor, and her son couldn't even bend over or really move around at all and so he cleaned the kitchen sink, badly I must say. They were really slow and I was the whole time they were in my apartment. When they left my manager knocked on my door, worried that we had a leak because the old woman had used so much water in the bathroom that it had started dripping downstairs. The house wasn't any cleaner when they left than when they got here, but I was for a good long time after.

I had someone come a few times years ago, it was nice. She came, cleaned, and left things all nice and sparkly. I couldn't afford it but a couple of times, but it was really nice

I used to have someone come in and clean about every two weeks and it was nice but I was weird about leaving the house when they were here. I was thinking about how I put intent into almost everything I do and definitely with cooking and things and in the absence of me touching things and cleaning things if it would make a difference in my space long term and if others (you guys) could tell the difference in your homes. I can feel if someone has been on my property if I have been out so I pick up on allot of that stuff.

I have had a freind come a couple of times. It's what she does for a living and does it well. With out fail, the energy had changed from serene to empty. I also believe that when people wear shoes in my house they bring all kinds of odd energies.

Shoes....that's interesting. Almost everyone always takes their shoes off when they come here but they also know I have kids with allergies. I know before they go into my Reiki area, I have a basket that everyone can deposit their shoes. It's how we were raised....out of respect you take off your shoes. But, the thought of shoes and energy makes sense.

I have a bad foot that means I really can't walk without messing up my foot if I take off my shoes. I guess if I came regularly to a house where shoes came off I'd have to keep slippers there or something.

But then, I have wood floors, so tracking on carpet isn't an issue. The kids can't really go barefoot either...makes their feet hurt too, so they use slippers
