Still. I have been sick for over a week. I am still coughing so hard I can hardly keep anything down. I can hardly sleep at night because the coughing keeps me awake. I have tried Rubitussin DM, Sudafed...nothing helps. I have yet to go to the doctor because I have the kiddos and DH works alot. Any home remedies I should try? I am desperate!
I cough due to chronic bronchitis and my DR told me to suck on hard candy or mints to help control the coughing. I've tried honey in lemon or pineapple juice sometimes too.
I don't know about home remedies, but I do know of an otc you could try. The product is called Bronchaid. It comes in a white box with blue accents - around here you have to ask the pharmacist for it b/c it falls under the same rules as sudafed. I discovered it a couple of years ago when I just couldn't get better - my Dr said it was better than anything she could prescribe (and wasn't sure how it was still an otc), that I should take it and a glass of grape juice every day until I felt better.

I feel like crap! 
I tried Vicks Vaporub & it helped alot! I had reapply it twice during the night, though and DH said it made me smell like an old lady!
