is it just me or does this year seem to have low yield of things, including flowers? It seemed the year prior i had seen MANY more flowers for sale, and veggies, this year.. not so much.. and it seems that some things didn't grow so well like lettuce.. and corn..
enjoy! it was taken with my Blackberry i'm without a camera for a while..

Yours definitely looks better than mine. This heat messes things up, and then add no rain for days at a time and the bugs
You are right from all the gardeners I speak to, including my relatives from TX and Penn. They said the tomatoes aren't even setting there, and my squash is about gone for the year. I have green beans some, tomatoes that are growing on crispy plants, brussel sprouts growing, a few cabbages, and some peppers.
I am glad you posted your pictures...gives me hope that green plants exist
How about everyone else? Are your yields low this year?

Mel, I'm glad you found your own open window and stepped through it.
WOW... looks better than mine. Our yields sucked.
Out of 4 tomato plants.. we only had 1 tomato show up
The bees weren't out as much this year, I noticed.

and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
far as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in the heart.
we have a CRAP load of tomatoes, like 5 or 6 tomato plants, and so far none have turned color. We hae tiger Heirlooms, Roma tomatoes, Beef steak tomatoes, Yellow Pear tomatoes, Red whine tomatoes, and some other interesting ones.
like i said LOTS of tomaterz but no change really other than growing like nuts. I had no idea how big Heirloom bushes get. Next year i'll plan that out better. I water early in the mornings or late at night if it's a hot hot time of year. maybe i water too much? I will find out just how much my bill is for 2 months here, coming
I'm worried it's REALLY high. we shall see..
TY

Loverson, you are having a great garden year..I am happy for you
Friskay, I have heard this from many people. We have tomatoes, but the plants look awful, and my relatives from TX said they aren't getting many tomatoes either.
We do have bees since we have a Mimosa tree and hummingbird feeder (I see them around), but not sure if it's the heat, dry, or what.
