Hopefully someone will check in this week.

I'm not 100% if I got the listing or not, but it's looking good. They were barking about the commission. Someone offered to do it at 4 1/2%. But you get what you pay for. Lower commissioned realtors often don't do the marketing that the ones who ask for more do. If you want me to sit in your home every Sunday & advertise an open house in the Post weekly, advertise on the web & newspaper, send out just listed postcards, make color brochures and everything else we do to market the property, then you have to pay the slightly higher commission.

It makes sense to me.

They also did not like to hear that they won't be getting almost 600,000 for their home. We told them 500,000. It had been previously listed for almost 600,000 & didn't sell. I'm not going to take some obnoxiously overpriced listing & pay to advertise the shit out of it when you're that far off on your price. I don't need the headache & I'd be throwing a couple grand down the toilet.

So, I took over a net sheet for them yesterday with some figures. We'll see. They will be making close to 300,000 on this property. Why do people get so greedy over 30-40,000?

So assuming I get the listing, I'll be pretty busy outside the home this week getting it listed & everything. I sent out all of my followup letters on my leads yesterday while here & I'm going to be working on getting my english/spanish buyer mailout ready to go.

Putting out more flyers in mailboxes, harassing moms at the park

Not doing a whole lot this week because I have to get ready for my students' piano recital this weekend and so on. Cara seems to be feeling better though so that will at least make things go smoother!

One good thing, I picked up a contract for a new website this week!
